A Big update on Magic Blocks Today
I've done a big update on Magic Blocks today.
Check http://www.maeve.be/mb to download the new version.
Most important new features include:
- High Scores
- User Accounts (on local PC only for now)
- Solitary Mode
- Magic Mirror Mode
- Logging of Game User Statistics
User and Hi-Score settings are saved in the "All Users" folders, so they are accessible for everybody (will be changed later when it gets linked to online accounts).
Please report back any errors you might get (except the failed to load hiscores/userdata messages you'll get the first time)
Updated the Games List
I've updated our online games list.
I has been a while :p
We are now at 497 games.
New test verion of magic blocks available
I've uploaded a new version of the Magic Blocks remake.
(V0.0.2.2501 - 2011/08/19) (see comments for more info)
Check out the Magic Blocks page for a bit of info and download link.
About the Gameslist
I've removed my old-style PHP gameslist, and replaced it with the HTML export from GameCollector. This means it's no longer sorted by System, but only by name.
On the upside, it looks better ^.^
Magic Blocks got a bit more magical
I've recently began on working on Magic Blocks again, and I've promised myself that I'd add something small and usefull to the game everyday.
The result is that it's gotten a lot of progress since last time I worked on it. Doesn't show much difference on the outside, but it has had several things changed that has a pretty good impact on the gameplay.
Also implemented more of the magics and items, still not all that much graphics yet, and still no sound or network support (although the major in-game backbone mechanics are in there already).
Most noticable changes since last update are:
- More magics implemented like Thunder for example
- Ability to "counter" incomming blocks
- Mana bars fill faster
- Magics and Items are now stackable in the shortcutbar
- Magic-stats are currently not hardcoded anymore
This version is only supplied for game-play reference and not intended to be playable. As a matter of fact you can't play it as there is no game-over or victory function implemented yet :p
